Apart from the food the whole trip was very good
Food was monotonus and boring in the end
Wish could have more choice
Also last lunch of the trip was a very boring cheap street restaurant which could have been better

The tour was exactly as articulated in the documentation. It was packed with iconic sites . The organisation was brilliant and our tour guide - Yoko - exceptional . Everything was meticulously planned and the quality of the food and hotels better than we expected.

This holiday is a wonderful introduction to the Japanese culture, way of life, food, architecture and religions. Although tiring, mainly due to the humidity and travelling on everyday, we saw and learned so much. Our guide Mariko was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for her. Our group of 20 people from UK, Ireland, Australia and NZ were friendly and helpful. Everything was very well organised almost to the minute. Fantastic introduction to everything Japan has to offer. Our Tour: Good
Discover Japan is a fast paced tour of some of the major sites and some of the less known ones.
The attractions visited are amazing and include some major cities and visits to the mountains. Lots of history and a few UNESCO world heritage sites included in the trip.
There is also the opportunity for some hand-on activities with souvenirs to take home.
Friendly guide who went out of his way to look after us.
Good quality hotels and coaches used throughout the tour.
Only let down was the food. Was expecting a choice of delicious Japanese cuisine but was only given a standard set meal - extremely disappointing, especially when we could see the other food on offer around us.

This is a very busy trip, packed with amazing locations and sights. Be prepared to cover lots of ground on foot, but it is worth it !!!

I would highly recommend Wendy Wu tours , they are very well organised . The tour of Japan was excellent with the guide being very well informed and she went the extra mile , providing us with her favourite snacks to try , cooling wipes and giving us a lot of information about Japanese culture and history .

recommended by a family member, found wendy Wu very helpful in deciding whch tour to Japan to chose and info on availability. flight options were explained (novice as solo traveller not used to upgrading) Talked through booking process once decision made and completed efficiently

A very intensive tour of some of the major Japanese highlights
Good hotels, although the one in Tokyo could have been nearer the centre
Transport throughout well organised and comfortable.
Very helpful guide although could have been more aware of pace of group as we progressed between sites
3 good meals a day although, personally I would have preferred a greater balance between Japanese and western food. Dietary requirements well catered for but at times some strange choices made.
I would say that this is not the tour for people with mobility issues, too many stairs which are often steep and slippery and too much walking between sites on sometimes rough paths

Well organised tour with an excellent guide. The sights we were taken to were excellent and the knowledge of our guide was second to non.
The activities of paper making, origami and golf leaf making were great fun and well worth doing.
A bit more time could have been spent seeing the lights and evening culture in Tokyo.
Unable to see Mount Fuji due to the weather and the boat trip on the lakes was badly affected, unfortunately there is nothing to be done that can affect nature.
The transfers to and from the airports could do with a little more thought
as travellers are weary when they arrive and not at their best for thinking how to get about in a new city.
